This programme gives manufacturing small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) access to digital tools, skills and innovation to improve business performance and efficiency.

The West of England Combined Authority has launched Made Smarter West of England, a new programme designed to assist local manufacturing small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) to understand and overcome operational challenges through digital technologies. This will help local manufacturing businesses to innovate, creating new opportunities and technologies in the process. It will also boost productivity and create the high-value, high paid jobs of the future.

What is Made Smarter?

This innovative new programme gives manufacturing SMEs access to digital tools, skills and innovation to improve business performance and efficiency. Delivered in partnership with the National Composites Centre and UWE Bristol, SMEs will benefit from one to one specialist advice, digital leadership training and student internships, as well as match-funded grants.
