About the Centre for Sustainable Agri-Food and Environment (SAFE)

A world where people and nature flourish: protected biodiversity, resilient ecosystems, and sustainable agri-food systems that enable healthy, fair lives.

We unite an inclusive, interdisciplinary research community to co-create solutions across our two themes: i) Smart and sustainable agri-food systems and ii) Biodiversity, climate and environmental resilience.

Through collaborative research, education and training, open partnerships with industry, government and communities, and evidence-led innovation and translation, we tackle real world problems and deliver measurable impact locally, nationally and globally.
