Project summary
This project investigated the presence of airborne microplastics and microfibres within homes in the UK. New sampling methods were co-created with communities and interdisciplinary and mixed methods approaches were applied to the sampling and analysis methods, ranging from analytical chemistry, machine vision and social science approaches, bridging the gap between industry, policymakers and individuals. The bridging fund enables the method to be further refined for use in schools and engaging with children and parents on the subject matter.
