Description
The two-day event will see art and design students (across seven programmes in the School of Arts) present their final year Visual Culture projects. The annual symposium nurtures an inclusive and generous research culture, positioning student research in a professional and supportive environment. This year, the work reflects some of the most pressing current issues of visuality and cultural critique and presents a brilliant opportunity for students to engage in cross-level, interdisciplinary discussions. Staff and students from across the University are invited to attend the event, which will be organised into five panels:
- Performance and Transformation
- Challenging Assumptions, Interrogating Paradigms
- Humanisms, Metamorphosis and Evolution
- Navigating Space, Place and Environment
- Fashioned Bodies and Resistance.
There will also be some contributions from staff from School of Art research groups and centres, bringing students and staff into dialogue.
