Description
The interview is a time-honoured, well established research method, particularly in social sciences, arts and humanities. But how to actually go about it? In this hands-on workshop we'll practice organising and conducting effective research interviews and focus groups, in-person and online, within the provisions of the UWE Bristol Code of Good Research Conduct.
Workshop objectives
After attending this workshop you'll:
- feel confident about conducting one-to-one interviews for research purposes
- feel confident about conducting focus group for research purposes
- feel part of UWE's research community.
To make the most of this workshop, we recommend also attending Introduction to Qualitative Research to familiarise yourself with the underpinning ontological and epistemic principles.
