Description
Join Chad Staddon, Professor of Resource Economics and Policy, for a fascinating tour of sustainability hot spots on campus.
We will take a variety of locations and along the way, Chad will talk about different elements of sustainability as well as the history of the site as indicated in brackets:
- the Walled Garden (gardening, green space and wellness, the Wallscourt Model Farm)
- onto the Farmhouse (the environmental value of the open spaces around it)
- the planted fruit grove
- the nearby pond (water related eco systems)
- the Bee Line
- Wallscourt Park Student Accommodation blocks (water and energy conservation activities)
- the artificial pond behind Education Building (teaching about biodiversity)
- and finally Mallard Pond (sustainable drainage).
Open to all students and staff - no need to register just turn up on the day.
