Description

Join Chad Staddon, Professor of Resource Economics and Policy, for a fascinating tour of sustainability hot spots on campus.

We will take a variety of locations and along the way, Chad will talk about different elements of sustainability as well as the history of the site as indicated in brackets:

  • the Walled Garden (gardening, green space and wellness, the Wallscourt Model Farm)
  • onto the Farmhouse (the environmental value of the open spaces around it)
  • the planted fruit grove
  • the nearby pond (water related eco systems)
  • the Bee Line
  • Wallscourt Park Student Accommodation blocks (water and energy conservation activities)
  • the artificial pond behind Education Building (teaching about biodiversity)
  • and finally Mallard Pond (sustainable drainage).

Open to all students and staff - no need to register just turn up on the day.
