Description

What are Social Action Hackathons?

Social Action Hackathons bring together students, graduates and local charities, community groups and public organisations to tackle social challenges that matter.

Why take part?

• Gain real-world experience by working on genuine community challenges.
• Develop skills employers value, including teamwork, problem-solving, communication and creative thinking.
• Meet students and recent graduates from different courses and backgrounds, and learn from new perspectives.
• Build your confidence in sharing ideas and collaborating with others.
• Make connections with local organisations and professionals.
• Contribute to projects that could create positive social change.

Who can take part?

• All current UWE Bristol students and recent graduates can take part.
• You don't need to have specialist knowledge.
• The event encourages and celebrates diversity so regardless of your background, everyone is welcomed equally and no one is out of place.
