Description
Through discussion and practice examples, this course will provide a broad overview of quantitative research methods for beginners, including:
- literature reviews
- ethics
- design
- deductive logic
- statistical hypotheses
- data capture
- exploratory data analysis concepts
- errors in statistical hypothesis testing
- internal, external and other forms of validity
- constructing conclusions.
We'll be using SPSS for some of the time, therefore you may wish to attend our SPSS workshop beforehand in order to help you get the most from this course. Attendance at this course is a prerequisite for our Statistical Reasoning course.
