Description
The Bike Loan Scheme is an initiative which aims to keep you active and also helps you to reduce your impact on the planet. With the scheme, you hire a bike to use for the year, which must be returned to The Students’ Union at the end of each academic year.
The bike loan includes a D lock to keep your bike secured and a set of lights to make sure you are safe and visible on the roads.
Having access to a bike has a whole load of benefits not only on the planet but also your bank account. By choosing to cycle instead of opting for public transport or driving, you are saving money on petrol or a bus ticket, and with the congestion in Bristol, you may also get to your destination faster.
The Students Union is pleased to offer The Bike Loans Scheme for free this year, simply pay (a refundable) £40 deposit and one of our Bristol Bikes is yours for the year.
Pop along to our hire event, try a bike on for size, pay your deposit and you can take your bike away the same day.
The Bike Hire Scheme is open to all UWE Bristol students.
