Description

For a fortnight, our university is proud to shine a spotlight on Fairtrade products – from coffee and tea to chocolate, bananas, snacks, and everyday essentials. When you choose Fairtrade, you’re supporting farmers and workers around the world who are paid fairly, empowered to improve their communities, and protected through ethical and sustainable trading standards.

Across university and Student Union outlets, you’ll find a wide range of Fairtrade items on special promotion. Look out for the pancake station at Bower on Tuesday 17th Feb, Tea chat and a film screening on Monday 23rd. The RSPB will be joining us to promote their Fairtrade coffee and their conservation work with our Swifty event from Wednesday 18th to Wednesday 24th, where we'll be looking for people to cycle, walk, wheel, run or otherwise propel themselves the distance a Swift does on its migration of around 3400 miles.

Whether you’re grabbing a morning latte, stocking up on study snacks, or choosing gifts for friends, look out for the Fairtrade Mark – your guarantee that the product meets rigorous social, economic, and environmental standards.

Join us for pancakes, discounts and promotions of Fairtrade products around campus, learn about Swift migration with an RSPB active travel challenge.
