Description
The event will begin with an introduction from Bipolar UK, offering an overview of the condition and setting the scene for the discussion to follow.
The panel will feature a member of Bipolar UK’s peer support team alongside UWE Bristol staff who will share their personal experiences of bipolar. Together, the panel will explore how bipolar can present differently for everyone, challenge common misconceptions, and reflect on the types of support that make a real difference.
The session will conclude with an open Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions, deepen their understanding, and take away practical insights for supporting colleagues, students, and themselves.
This event is open to all staff and students and aims to foster greater awareness, empathy, and inclusive practice across our community. It will be recorded and shared over the next academic year (2026/27).
If you have any access requirements or questions about the event then please email the Disabled Staff Network at disabledstaffnetwork@uwe.ac.uk.
