Graduation day at Gloucester Cathedral
Graduands will need to register their presence on arrival at the desks inside the south door of the cathedral. We recommend arriving approximately two hours before the ceremony begins.
Registration will begin at 09:00. All graduands must register their arrival at the cathedral one hour before the ceremony start time. The registration desk will close 30 minutes before your ceremony start time. It is essential that you have registered before this point.
Graduands sit in the designated seats in the north aisle.
Guest seats are numbered and correspond with tickets. Your guests can begin to take their seats in the main nave of the cathedral from 09:00. View instructions for collecting your pre-purchased guest tickets.
Due to Health and Safety restrictions we cannot allow standing during the ceremony. All guests must have a ticket and be seated 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
Access and parking
Please contact the Graduation team to inform them of any access requirements you or your guests have. Access requirements need to be put into place before the seating plans are arranged, so please ensure that you make us aware of these before the registration deadline.
Wheelchair access is available at Gloucester Cathedral and appropriate seating will be arranged. The stewards will be pleased to show you to your seats when you arrive at the cathedral.
It is not possible to park at Gloucester Cathedral. There are a number of car parks close by that are well-signposted from the city centre. Alternatively, you can use one of the two Park and Ride services – view details on the Gloucester City Council website or contact them at tel: +44 (0)1452 396 576.
