Description
This workshop will help you to write better academic English by exploring the reasons for using caution (‘hedging’) in your writing, a key feature of academic writing. You will have the opportunity to practice identifying and using cautious language in the workshop.
This workshop is a part of the Communication Skills for International Students programme. It is designed for international students and students who use English as an additional language.

To feel more confident about:
- why being cautious (hedging) in important in academic writing
- identifying language for being cautious
- using cautious language in academic writing
