About the film
Can a single woman in her thirties, who smokes and drinks excessively while speaking her mind, find her place in the world and a romantic partner?
Bridget Jones, played by Renée Zellweger, works as an assistant at a London book publisher. She gets involved in a flirtatious affair with her boss, Daniel Cleaver (Hugh Grant). Meanwhile, she crosses paths with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth), a reserved barrister who has known her since childhood.
Bridget is caught between these two men, facing choices in her pursuit of love and fulfilment.
