Description

Are you a student who has a job or placement interview soon or in the future? Then this is the session to help you! Business and Law Librarians will show you how to find the information about the organisation, that will help you to improve your chances of success in an interview or application.

This workshop will take place online in Blackboard Collaborate – guidance on using Collaborate is available. The workshop will have interactive elements and we recommend that if possible you use a laptop or PC with Chrome or Firefox as your browser. You may wish to use an additional mobile device or another tab in your browser for the interactive elements.

You can access session materials beforehand from the Study Skills Blackboard course. The session is open to any business or law students.

Workshop objectives

The aims of this workshop are to help you:

  • Discover what information you should look for when researching an organisation before an interview.
  • Become familiar with the types of company information available to you for interview preparation.
  • Learn to evaluate free websites for company information.
