Description

Join us to wrap up LGBT+ History Month in style with Freddie Lewis, a local singer songwriter and artist, in collaboration with UWE Bristol's own LGBT+ Society.

UWELGBT+ Society is opening this event to all students of all identities and backgrounds, so come along with a friend or by yourself to make some new friends, and let's have some fun!

This event is free to attend at the SU Bar with the option to donate to a charity (TBC).

About the artist

Freddie Lewis is a songwriter and performer based in Bristol. His work is defined by thoughtful and playful lyricism, catchy hook melodies, and nuanced accounts of emotion. Taking influence from pop, folk, and jazz, Freddie takes his love of poetry and enshrines it within his signatory brand of bedroom soul-pop. After first releasing music in summer 2021, Freddie has seen plays on BBC Radio 1, Radio 6 Music and featured as the cover artist on Spotify editorial playlist, ‘Transcend’, for four months.

Throughout 2022, Freddie has played live shows across the country, including The Great Escape Festival, Glastonbury, 2000 Trees, Bristol and Birmingham Pride Main Stages and his sold-out exhibition, music and poetry show at Bristol’s Dareshack in June: ‘Pale Pink Works of Art’.
