Description

Step into the story of Bristol with a trip to the iconic M Shed Museum, where you’ll explore the city’s rich past - from its people and places to its role in global history.

Wander through interactive exhibits that bring Bristol’s culture and heritage to life, then hop aboard a real historic steam train for a scenic ride along the harbourside.

It’s a great chance to connect with other students while discovering your new city.

Where to meet

We'll meet at the Arnolfini, part of our City Campus, for a quick look around before we head to the M Shed.

The Arnolfini is on the harbourside right next to the city centre. To get there:

  • From Frenchay Campus: take the M1 bus (to Hengrove Park) or M3 bus (to City Centre) and get off at "The Centre" bus stop.
  • From Glenside Campus: take the number 5 bus getting off at "Broadmead" bus stop, or number 48a bus getting off at "Cabot Circus" bus stop.
  • Dott e-scooters and e-bikes are available from both Glenside and Frenchay campuses. Please make sure you follow all safety directions, road rules, and wear a helment when travelling on Dott.
