Description

Explore the extraordinary exhibits at the M Shed and along the Harbourside.

M Shed

Bristol People explores activities that make Bristol what is it; creating, trading and celebrating.

Bristol Places highlights how and why Bristol has transformed over time, how people have developed ways to move around it and showcases amazing discoveries made in and around the city.

Harbourside

  • The electric cranes are a landmark on Bristol's docks, a link to the city's 1950s trading heyday.
  • Fairbairn Steam Crane is a striking banana-shaped crane - the oldest surviving exhibit of it's type in Great Britain.
  • Harbourside steam trains.
  • Fire-boat Pyronaut - a crucial part of the docks' fire fighting service for around 40 years.
