Description

Greenspace supports local volunteer groups to maintain woodland spaces near Frenchay Campus. This session will be led by Simms Hill Community volunteers and Student Project Leaders, and will focus on tidying and maintaining the Simms Hill Woodland site. Tasks may include, tree-pruning, bramble-bush clearing, path laying/maintenance and sapling planting.

We will meet outside the Frenchay Student's Union at 10:00am on Wednesday 29 July, and then walk to Simms Hill Community Woodland together. You'll get a free veggie or vegan meal deal on the day, but please bring some snacks if you’d like and a bottle of water. Please e-mail us if you have any dietary requirements not covered by the vegan/veggie diet (thegreenteam@uwe.ac.uk).

Make sure you wear practical clothes and footwear (wellies/walking boots or sturdy trainers), and check the weather beforehand so you can dress accordingly and be as comfortable as possible. Please ensure you bring any necessary emergency medications with you (i.e. epi pen).

If you could get students who are interested in the session to sign-up via the form.
