Description
National Garden Meditation Day takes place annually on the 3 May, please join us to celebrate this wonderful day on Thursday 4 May during our Global Café from 14:30-15:30. We will meet in Room 2P4, P Block then make our way to The Farmhouse community garden where we will spend the rest of our time in nature.
This day encourages everyone to take time for themselves and relax. During this potentially stressful time of assessment/exam periods – mindfulness can be used as a tool to prevent additional stress. Meditation and nature offer many benefits such as easing anxiety, improving sleep, easing pain, and improving stress levels and if the sun is shining, we will all get some well-deserved vitamin D at the same time
Working in the garden, tending to the plants and flowers, or resting quietly on a bench on a beautiful day in the garden are forms of meditation. Both can be restorative to the soul and a refreshing way to be out in nature. Beautiful meditation frequency music will be played to promote stillness and for those that would like to participate, we will end the session with a 10-minute collective guided meditation.
