About the event

The Climate Change Primary Education and Research Network brings together over 100 teachers and researchers to discuss and share insights into all things climate and sustainability focussed for the primary school (4-11 year-olds).

The network meets online, six times a year, and is organised and chaired by Dr Verity Jones and Dr Tessa Podpadec, co-leaders of the Sustainability in Education strand in the Education and Childhood Research Group at UWE Bristol.

In this session, we welcome Dr Sally Cooke (Nottingham Trent University) will introduce Fashion Fictions, a creative project that reimagines sustainable futures through fashion in classrooms and group settings. Dr Ben Williams (UWE Bristol) will present a citizen science initiative investigating the presence of microfibres in the air of schools and homes, with exciting updates on accessing a free illustrated children's book on the topic.
