Description
We warmly invite you to join us for an evening of thoughtful panel discussion from Engineering Industry Professionals, Staff, Alumni and current students, to explore themes for Black History Month 2025: Standing Firm in Power and Pride.
The evening will include a Keynote Speaker, Yohanes Scarlett, Policy and Research Advisor, Royal Academy of Engineering.
The panel will include:
- Nicolle Hanselmann – Third Year Robotics Student
- Daniel Odita – Project Manager, Turner & Townsend
- Tamsila Tauqir - UWE SENG - Engineering Materials Science Technical Instructor
- Akeem Alabi – Electrical Engineer, National Grid.
This is a unique opportunity to experience captivating stories, powerful themes, and diverse perspectives that you won’t want to miss.
Drinks such as malt, and sweet plantain crisps will be available for you to enjoy while actively participating in the discussions and asking questions.

There's no need to book, simply join us in Room 3Z015 at the School of Engineering, Frenchay Campus.
