Description
Come and hear how the Avon Pension Fund (APF) is addressing the climate and ecological crises.
Already recognised as a leader in Responsible Investment, Liz Woodyard, Senior Investment Manager of APF, will explain how the APF's investment strategy is targeted to support the transformation of the portfolio for a lower carbon world.
Hear how the changes they have made and are continuing to make will enable them to lower their carbon footprint and invest more capital in renewables, while preserving the ability to guarantee pension payments to beneficiaries. A quote from the APF website sums up their approach: 'We believe that climate change, in particular, represents a systemic risk to people, the planet, and to the investment returns which are necessary to enable payment of pensions. The need for action on the climate crisis is more critical now than ever before.'
