Description
Artificial intelligence promises to transform how we manage resources, reduce emissions, and design more sustainable systems, but it also brings its own environmental footprint. In this talk, sustainability and IT expert Ian Brooks explores both sides of the AI revolution: its potential to drive energy efficiency and smarter decision-making, and its growing carbon and water costs from data centres and large-scale computation.
Drawing on decades of experience in sustainability, IT, and corporate strategy, Ian examines how organisations can harness AI responsibly, leveraging its power to cut emissions while managing the hidden environmental impacts of digital infrastructure.
