Description
This is a relaxed and friendly session for students who don’t speak English as their first language. It’s especially helpful if you’re new to studying in the UK and want to feel more confident using English in everyday situations and at university.
You’ll meet other students who are also adjusting to life and study in the UK, learn practical tips for improving your English, and take part in fun, easy activities to practise speaking and listening.
You don’t need perfect English—just come along, join in, and enjoy!
You can access session materials beforehand from the International Study Skills Week webpage.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this session, you should feel more confident about:
joining in English conversations, even if you're still learning
