Masters in Research (MRes) Social Research (Health and Wellbeing)

UWE Bristol is one of five universities that makes up the South West Doctoral Training Partnership - a consortium accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council to provide specialist postgraduate research training in the social sciences.

Gain an in-depth understanding of conducting social research, and use your skills to carry out your own research study on this specially designed MRes Social Research course. This course provides excellent preparation for social science doctoral study or for research careers in the public or private sectors. It fulfils the pre-requisite for studying a PhD at UWE Bristol through the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP) on the Health and Wellbeing pathway.

MSc Sustainable Development in Practice

A highly-topical course that focuses on the urgent challenges organisations, communities and government face in bringing about sustainable change in individual behaviour, business practice and wider society – all studied in the European Green Capital 2015.

MSc Environmental Consultancy

MSc Environmental Consultancy is strongly interdisciplinary and practical, and draws on our wide-ranging and well-established links with environmental consultancies, industry, national and local government and the IES.

MSc Planning and Urban Leadership (Distance Learning)

Chartered Town Planner Degree Apprenticeship

You will graduate with an MSc in Urban Planning.

You will graduate with an MSc in Urban Planning.

Our Degree Apprenticeship is built around two routes. Entry Point 1 is for those without a degree but with relevant level three qualifications. Entry Point 2 is for graduates from any academic background, although it’s particularly attractive for those with a social sciences, geography or planning background. We take professional experience into account where appropriate.

By the end of the course, you’ll graduate with an MSc in Urban Planning. After completing your studies and the necessary end-point assessment, you’ll become a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute, enabling you to use the post-nominal letters MRTPI.
