From ground to orbit: south west’s space-tech potential explored at UWE Bristol event

The first event in this autumn’s Bristol Distinguished Address Series (BDAS) will see aerospace experts explore the south west’s potential to become a leader in space-enabled technologies.
The free event on Thursday 9 October, 18:00-21:00, at Watershed will be hosted by Rebecca Huffee, Cluster Manager for Space West, and will include Ross Hulbert from Spaceport Cornwall; Chris Toomer, Associate Professor in Aerospace at UWE Bristol; and Simon Wheeler, Vice President of Software at ReOrbit, on the panel.
BDAS, organised by UWE Bristol, is an opportunity to hear unique perspectives and insights from change makers, activists, entrepreneurs and inspiring people in Bristol and beyond.
The panel of experts across the space and technology sectors will discuss innovations in aerospace taking place in the south west helping to contribute to economic growth, and highlighting opportunities for collaboration and future development.
This is a hybrid event, held in person at Watershed and available to watch online. Attendance is free but booking is required. To book this event, visit the UWE Bristol’s event listing.
