In 1996, regional colleges of health merged to establish our Faculty of Health and Social Care at Glenside.

Why I love Glenside

Kathy’s career as a nurse took her to Accident and Emergency at the Bristol Royal Infirmary in the 1980s. But it all began at her beloved Glenside, where she also returned to teach.

I followed it with my heart

Electronics technician John retrained as a nurse and has just graduated at the age of 64. Motivated by a deep desire to care for people, John changed career studying a Nurse Degree Apprenticeship.

Glenside Hospital Museum

The museum tells the story of the history of mental health care through the history of the site on Blackberry Hill, which has medical roots dating back to 1857.
