UWE Bristol ranks in the top ten modern universities in The Sunday Times Good University Guide

UWE Bristol has climbed 11 places in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026, securing its place within the top ten modern universities.
The university’s jump in the rankings to 57th matches its best ever league table position in the Good University Guide. Improved student satisfaction scores for teaching quality and wider experience have driven UWE Bristol’s jump in the league table.
UWE Bristol is also ranked fourth in the south west region.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026 ranks universities across criteria including teaching quality, student experience, graduate prospects and its People & Planet sustainability score.
Professor Sir Steve West, Vice-Chancellor of UWE Bristol said: “Student experience is at the heart of everything we do at UWE Bristol so it’s rewarding to know that our improved National Student Satisfaction scores have contributed to our rise in the league table. Our staff are extremely dedicated to creating an environment where our students can truly thrive both academically and personally, and we’re motivated to continue to build upon these positive results year on year.”
UWE Bristol was also recently named as one of the highest climbers in the Guardian University Guide 2026, jumping 26 places to 38.
