What we offer

The Centre for Music (CfM) is for everyone and is free for all UWE Bristol students. No matter what you are studying, whether you are an expert or a beginner, we have fantastic opportunities for learning, exploring and performing music from classical and jazz, rock and pop, to underground and electronic.

Based on Frenchay Campus, the centre is led by industry professionals who'll help you develop and perform at the highest level you can.

As a band, DJ, solo artist or songwriter, we can help you find other musicians, get gigs, perform and record your music and develop yourself as an artist.

You can book a range music lessons including guitar lessons, piano lessons, drum lessons, vocal coaching, Djing lessons and more, and also access mini courses and masterclasses with industry experts.

Room bookings and rehearsal spaces

Once you are a member you can access our room bookings system to book a room for rehearsals, practice's and you can also book music equipment. We have a range of different rehearsal spaces including a dance studio, jazz room, band room and DJ room as well as bookable pianos.

Mini-courses and recording in our studio

As well as opportunities to record your music in our studios with help from the experts you can learn recording, producing and mixing techniques through our range of mini courses and masterclasses including using Ableton Live and Logic Pro X.
