NEVAC audio recording used in Canadian Exhibition

From January 30th to May 30th 2004 an exhibition is being held at the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada - 'Thrown: Influences and Intentions of West Coast Ceramics'. Included in the exhibition is a recording of Bernard and David Leach from the NEVAC archive (AC944). Used as an accompaniment to ceramics made by Leach and his students, the NEVAC tape helps to give context to the exhibition.

"Thrown focuses on the Vancouver studio pottery movement of the 1960s and 1970s. The movement was, in part, influenced by the British studio pottery advocate, Bernard Leach. Of the seven potters featured in this exhibition, four appretniced at the leach pottery, one had a strong connection to him and two arrived at a similar practice independently."
