Applying for accommodation
Deadline - 1 July
Once you have looked through the accommodation options and found something suitable, the next stage is to make your application. These pages are designed to guide you through this process and ensure you have all the information you need at the various stages.
When and how to apply
UWE guarantees University approved accommodation for all first year students who meet the deadline of 1 July (see below if you miss this deadline). Accommodation is allocated on a first come, first served basis and it is essential that you apply early to secure your preferred accommodation. Campus and city centre accommodation is generally the first to be filled.
If you have firmly accepted an offer of a place of study at UWE, you will receive an in tray message to your UWE Welcome website in April confirming your eligibility to apply for accommodation and will be provided with access to the online application form.
When will I find out the result of my application?
We normally start allocating in May and find that by the end of May campus accommodation is fully allocated, swiftly followed by city centre accommodation. Allocations will continue throughout June and July. We will send you the offer of accommodation again by e-mail at the end of June. At the time of acceptance of the offer you will be asked to make an online payment of £250 to secure your accommodation.
What if I don’t get the results I need?
Many students will receive examination results in August and will begin preparing for their studies at UWE. If your results are not what you expect, call Admissions on
+44 (0) 117 32 83600 so that one of their advisers can explain your options. Remember to also contact Accommodation Services if your accommodation requirements change.
