CFPR PhD student Brendan Reid will be displaying work he has made as part of his PhD studies in an international exhibition opening in Sydney, Australia this week.

Inside Out is both title and theme for this compelling international touring exhibition which focuses on emerging digital design techniques and the growth of sophisticated rapid prototyping tools and methods. It features a unique set of forty-six miniature sculptures produced in resin using stereo-lithography (3D printing) or rapid prototyping technologies.
The exhibition is the outcome of an exchange programme between art school centres and artist groups in the United Kingdom and Australia and will be launched in both countries in 2010.

The exhibition website features images and information on all works included in the Inside Out collection of miniature sculptures, will be launched just prior to the Object Gallery launch.
Video coverage of the stereo-lithographic (3D printing) process will be featured on the website and alongside the exhibition, so as to communicate and demystify the process.

After being exhibited at Object Gallery (Sydney), the Inside Out collection will embark on a touring program in the UK. The Inside Out Exhibition will be launched in the UK at Pheonix Square, Leciester, in September 2010. Further details will be posted as dates and venues are confirmed.
