Coronavirus guidance

The latest coronavirus guidance for current students, staff, new applicants and international students.

The government has removed remaining domestic restrictions in England. There are still steps you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19.

  • Get vaccinated. The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe and effective. They give you the best protection against COVID-19. As a student, you are expected to be double-vaccinated against coronavirus. You are also expected to engage with the booster programme. If you're travelling from abroad to study with us there will be opportunities for you to get vaccinated when you’re here, read our coronavirus guidance for international students.
  • Consider wearing a face covering in crowded, enclosed spaces. Remember that wearing a face covering can not only help protect others and yourself from coronavirus, but they can also help reduce the spread of colds and flu, helping you stay fit and healthy.
  • Let fresh air in if meeting indoors, or meet outside.
  • If you're not feeling well, please don't attend campus. This not only includes having coronavirus symptoms, but also cold and flu. You don't need to report your absence to the university, but you may want to let your lecturers know if you're missing learning activities.
