Jake carried out a summer internship with South West Water, where he worked in a team responsible for their energy and carbon strategies.
“UWE provided me with a £1000 internship award to support my placement and, as a result of my work at South West Water, I was awarded their company prize for energy efficiency. I was also awarded the first prize in the UWE Green Intern of the Year award, due to my successful work at South West Water.
“The UWE careers service was absolutely instrumental in organising my summer placement and they have been extremely supportive.
“I feel much more attractive to any potential employer now, as I have some real credentials behind me!”
