Disability Service.
Welcome to the Disability Service. We aim to provide a holistic service for disabled students and applicants to the University. We also support the academic and administrative staff who work with disabled students.
If you are a disabled student, our team of professional advisers are on hand to help you access your programme of study. This includes sourcing specialist help and funding. We also offer a co-ordination service for support workers.
We can offer advice on:
- facilities at UWE for disabled students,
- how to claim Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs),
- how to arrange a Disabled Students’ Allowances needs assessment,
- where you get access to specialist equipment,
- how to make alternative assessment and exam arrangements,
- what local and national support groups exist.
