NEVAC in Chicago

NEVAC was commissioned by the Crafts Council to make a video to accompany an exhibition, 'Containing Ceramics', at the 2002 SOFA expo in Chicago, 25-27 October. The Sculpture Objects and Functional Art exposition attracts 30,000 visitors over three days and includes art dealers, galleries and arts organisations, (www.sofaexpo.com). The Crafts Council stand featured ceramics from its collections by:

Julian Stair - Carol McNicoll - Richard Slee - Elizabeth Fritsch - Michael Casson - Jane Hamlyn - Stephen Dixon - Jill Crowley - Kate Malone - Walter Keeler

On 25 July we filmed the above mentioned artists at the Crafts Council in London. We filmed each of them talking about their work, (which were to be part of the 'Containing Ceramics' exhibition). The edited video of these interviews was played at the Crafts Council stand at SOFA and was enjoyed by many of the 30,000+ visitors who attended the event. Matthew Partington attended the expo to promote NEVAC to an international audience.
