Situations is an internationally recognised programme which commissions innovative artists' projects, often outside more conventional gallery or museum contexts. Situations also conducts curatorial research, public events, talks, seminars and produces publications.
The programme is committed to supporting the production of exceptional new work and projects, often in response to a specific context, location or situation, and to placing this work within an international research context.
The programme was awarded one of five national Paul Hamlyn Breakthrough Awards in 2009 for exceptional creative entrepreneurs.
