Robert Ebendorf Master Classes

Professor Robert Ebendorf will be running a master class at UWE from 1-3 August 2007 for members of the etc applied arts group. Based on the theme of 'spoons' the class will be working towards an exhibition of spoons in February 2008.

There is also an opportunity for 10 people to attend a master class with Robert called
'Design On The Edge'
6th-10th August 2007, 9.30-4.30pm each day
Price £300 (Lunch provided each day)

"This week long master class will be an investigation of creative design thinking, using mixed media, paper collage and found materials to create a series of work relevant to the practitioners own work, this could lead to an artist’s book or a series of collages or artefacts. There will be design projects which will enrich the participants working vocabulary and group discussions related to the workshop. The master class will include a mentoring session on personal work and future development.

Robert Ebendorf is currently the Belk Distinguished Professor at the School of Art at East Carolina University teaching in the metals and design programmes. A founding member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths, his work is included in many museums, public and private collections. His 35-year teaching career includes 22 years in the metal programme at SUNY New Paltz, New York, as well as numerous national and international visiting artist workshops".
