Curatorial
'Rukssian' Artists' Books Exhibition tour March 2014 – January 2015, 3 venues in Russia and the UK. Organised by the independent International Association of book artists Kniga Khudozhnika, Moscow. Curated by Sarah Bodman, Viktor Lukin, Mikhail Pogarsky and Vasily Vlasov, books by 60 artists from the UK and Russia.

 

Curator (Europe, The Middle East, and Asia), for the Al-Mutanabbi Street Coalition’s artists’ books project, 260 book artists: An Inventory Of Al-Mutanabbi Street. (264 artists), 2010- 2018; Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here, the Center for Book Arts New York in collaboration with Alwan for the Arts, Columbia University Libraries, International Print Center New York, and Poets House, New York, USA. 11/07/13 – 05/10/13. Co-organised with Beau Beausoleil.

Al-Mutanabbi Street Broadsides Project, UK coordinator for project with 130 letterpress printers, 2008- 2009, European Broadsides exhibition tour coordinator 2010-2014.

 

9th International Book Art Festival, Correspondence 2012-2014, invited curator for British artists. Toured to 12 venues throughout Poland

 

Residencies
Sarah has developed her practice though completing residencies at independent and educational institutions in the UK, Australia and the United States.

Work in Collections
Sarah's artists' books are housed in 64 national and international institutions including: Tate Britain, Museum van het boek, Yale Center for British Art, and the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Public Events organised
Sarah co-organises the biennial BABE Bristol Artist’s Book Events at Arnolfini Bristol.

External Consultancy and Surgeries
Sarah's external activities often involve sharing her practice with other book artists through regular surgeries, exhibitions, public lectures and workshops both nationally and internationally.
