Jesse Heckstall-Smith

Jesse joined the Centre for Fine Print Research in June 2008 as a member of the UWE temporary staff unit. His main role is supporting the CFPR director, Professor Stephen Hoskins.

Jesse has a background in the Organic Farming sector but has chosen a new direction with his current role with the CFPR. He is responsible for cataloguing the extensive CFPR print collection, including 25 years of ‘Miniprint’ - an annual exhibition that contains work by 30 different artists - who are either UWE staff, or Multidisciplinary Printmaking MA students. He played a key role at the IMPACT 6 conference - providing event management support to the event coordinator and management committee.

His work involves, updating the website, supporting research staff with ongoing projects, assisting with the CFPR CPD courses and event programme, resolving enquiries to the centre and overseeing financial administration. Jesse is the first point of contact for all research enquiries and an integral member of the team.

He has recently been assisting with the print sector sustainability survey and is secretary to the Association of European Printmaking Museums - AEPM

Jesse graduated from UWE in 1999 with a 2:1( joint hons) BA in Sociology and Environmental issues.
