Jesse joined the Centre for Fine Print Research in June 2008. His main role is supporting the Director, Professor Stephen Hoskins and Research Manager Joanna Montgomery with all the day to day business of the CFPR. In 2013 he managed the subediting and image sourcing for Steve's bestselling book '3D Printing for Artists Designers and Makers'. In 2016 he worked on the 2nd edition - an extensive revision of the original text. He is currently editing Professor Carinna Parraman's new book exploring the emerging field of 2.5D printing.
Jesse played a key role at the IMPACT 6 conference in 2009 - providing event management support, welcoming IMPACT delegates and organising the product fair. He also compiled the IMPACT 6 proceedings and continues to act as secretary to the IMPACT committee, advising the conference organisers in Australia in 2011, Dundee 2013 and China in 2015 and Santander in 2018.
Jesse is responsible for editing this website as well as supporting the CFPR's 20 research staff and PhD students. He co-ordinates the CPD courses and event programme, resolves enquiries and oversees financial administration and procurement. Jesse was responsible for cataloguing the extensive CFPR print archive, including 30 years of ‘Miniprint’ - an annual exhibition and print exchange.
Jesse graduated from UWE in 1999 with a 2:1 in Sociology and Environmental issues (Joint Hons) His first job was in the ecohome at the CREATE environment centre, then he worked for 6 years at the Organic Farming charity The Soil Association helping farmers access goverment grants and assisting with the publication and distribution of Organic Farming Magazine.
