The workshop provided an overview and key considerations for artists and designers wanting to print digital files using wide format inkjet technology. The areas covered in the workshop included: considering papers qualities, understanding the physical properties of ink on paper, scaling and image resolution considerations, hardware and software options.

The workshop presented each participant with the opportunity to produce a series of A2 size prints on a range of different substrates. By printing on different substrates the focus of the workshop discussed the manipulation possibilities of a digitally rendered file outside of the computer software. From this perspective the course looked at the physical effects of weight, colour and surface quality upon the output of a single digital file.
