This one-day course offers an artist’s led approach to the 3D scanning process.

A 3D scanner analyses a real-world object and collects data on its shape using laser technology. The collected data can then be used to construct computer 3D models for a wide variety of applications such as sculpture, components, avatars and models, etc.

The course demonstrated, scanning methods, using the software, object preparation, joining seams to make an object and the translation of scans into software such as CAD (Computer Aided Design).
