Secondments and exchanges
heat@uwe will support short discipline-hopping secondments and exchanges. Their aim is to give staff the opportunity to develop their experience of interdisciplinary working.
The following gives some examples of the types of activities that may be supported:
- Secondments for staff to work in another research centre for a short period of time; this may be for a discreet piece of work, to receive training or experience in unfamiliar research methods, equipment or software
- Visits to laboratories, workshops and design studios so that staff can familiarise themselves with the facilities available at UWE and perhaps come up with new innovative ways of using them!
