Moving Machines, New Machine Requests and Machine Removals (as well as Temporary Machines)
Moving MachinesYou must not move the machines without contacting Printing and Stationery Services (PSS) to make the necessary arrangements. Machines will only work when plugged into pre-configured network points. Canon will normally relocate machines without charge. To request a move please complete this form, allowing at least 10 working days for arrangements to be made. New Machine RequestMachines are only installed where there is a business need. Machines should be shared wherever possible to keep the University’s costs to a minimum. In principle, adjacent offices should share a machine, with staff taking the opportunity for ‘screen breaks’ to use the device. Other desktop printers should not be used if an MFP is installed. Large jobs should be planned in advance to allow time to send to PSS as this provides a better quality and value for money product than can be achieved through local devices. To request a new machine please complete this form, allowing at least 21 working days before the machine is required. A machine will only be provided if approved by Printing and Stationery Services. The University has developed an Allocation Policy in relation to the supply and positioning of printers and MFPs. For more information on this click here. Removing MachinesTo request a machine be removed please complete this form, (it is the same as the relocations form, however in the new location details please type "To Be Removed"). Please allow at least 10 working days for arrangements to be made. Temporary machinesPlease click here for the process for ordering temporary machines.
