Getting to the graduation venue

All graduation ceremonies take place at Bristol Beacon in Bristol’s city centre.

• Aim to arrive at the venue approximately two hours before your ceremony start time. 

• Registration closes 45 minutes before your ceremony starts.

Travelling by public transport

Bus and train

The nearest railway station is Bristol Temple Meads.

Walking or cycling

• Bristol Beacon is in Bristol’s city centre.
• See the National Cycle Network for cycle routes. There are plenty of places to lock up your bike near the venue.

Ferry

The closest Bristol ferry stop is Bristol City Centre Landing. Ferries run every 40 minutes from either Bristol Temple Meads or Hotwells. Further information is available on the Bristol Ferry website.

Park and ride

Bristol has four park and ride carparks located on the outskirts of the city, allowing you to travel to your graduation without having to worry about parking.

• Portway Park and Ride, northwest of Bristol
• Long Ashton Park and Ride, southwest of Bristol
• Brislington Park and Ride, southeast of Bristol
• Lyde Green Park and Ride, northeast of Bristol

Travelling by car

• You can find and pay for on-street parking or public car parks with Just Park or RingGo.
• Please note that there is no car park at Bristol Beacon.
