Being a UWE student

What does it mean to be a student? What is expected of you by your tutors and fellow students, by potential employers or people at home? What do you expect of yourself?
While you're at university, you may be studying, earning money, fulfilling family commitments, and maintaining other interests. All these areas of your life make demands on your time so you’ll need to manage your time effectively. Go to our guidance on time management, it is useful for all students. One of the most valuable life skills is the ability to manage your own money. By taking the time now to make some good decisions about the lifestyle you want as a student you’ll have a more relaxing university experience and help to minimise the debt you will have after you leave.
