Current Awareness Sources
Current awareness services help you keep up to date with recent publications, research and developments in your field of study. These services can include: website monitoring for relevant new material; Alert services, where specified keyword searches or saved searches are run automatically at intervals to find new information; table of contents (TOC) services, where you will be emailed the contents of new issues of specified journals. You can also set up some RSS feed on your favourite news websites, and on some of our databases. For more information about RSS feed, please visit our RSS feed webpage.
- Business Source Premier
After creating your EBSCOhost account, you can use SEARCH HISTORY/ALERT to save searches or receive details of new articles which match search criteria. Journal alerts can be set up via the PUBLICATIONS option. Search and journal alerts can also be viewed via an RSS reader.
- Emerald
Click on Register to create your Emerald profile. This will allow you to set up an ALERT service to save searches, receive weekly bulletins and be emailed brief citations of newly published articles for specified journals, as well as tables for your favourite journals.
- eLibrary.
It allows you to create alerts on your SUBJECT SEARCH. To do so, click on the PREVIOUS SEARCH tab in the SUBJECT SEARCH section. Add the searches you want to save by clicking on the
icon.
They will be saved in the HISTORY folder in MY SPACE. To set-up the alert for
a search or several searches, got to MY SPACE, click on HISTORY, and click
on the
icon.

Mintel
Click on MY INFO to create a personal profile which will allow you to save searches and set up email alerts based on them.
- ScienceDirect
Click on My settings to create a personal profile which will allow you to save searches and set up email alerts based on them. Topic, journal and citation alerts can also be created.

World Advertising Research Center (WARC)
Use MY WARC to access a range of news services, including a weekly digest of news stories and a monthly newsletter of new content on the database. Topic alerts can also be set up.
- ZETOC Alerting Service
Provides access to tables of contents (TOCs) of 20,000 journals and 16,000 conference proceedings. Set up ALERTS to receive TOCs of new issues of selected journals (chosen individually or by subject category). There is no limit to the number of alerts you can set up. Alerts can also be created for author/title searches.
