Identify key stages of the task

Having defined and agreed your task, it's important to agree the stages that need to be completed along the way.

These may include:

  • planning the project

  • research

  • collating and comparing information

  • further research, if necessary

  • planning the report / presentation

  • producing the report / presentation.

You might break some stages down into further parts. For example, the last point above could include an early draft, a revision period, and the final draft.

You should also agree at what stages you'll review your progress.
