Your Library ID and PIN Numbers
What is my Library ID Number?
Your Library ID is the same as your UWE ID.
Your UWE ID Number is the number under the barcode on your UWE ID card.
What is my Library PIN?
All members of the University have a 4 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) which is uniquely connected to their University ID number.
Your PIN enables you to place a hold on a book that is on loan to somebody else, to renew books you have on loan yourself, or just to check how many items you have on loan and when they are due back.
Once you have your PIN, you can change it to another number of your choice if you wish. To do this, log in to the Library Catalogue, click on the Your Account button at the top of the screen then select the Change My PIN option.
If you do not have a PIN, you can obtain it from the Find your library PIN option from the Library Catalogue or any UWE library on presentation of your UWE ID card. At Frenchay Campus Library, you can obtain your PIN number from the Reception Desk on Level 2. Alternatively see the email me my PIN feature.
